The everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards
About the everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards
With 7 out of 10 jobs in London expected to be taken by women between now and 2016, there has never been a better time to start celebrating the talent of women working within the UK’s non-traditional sectors. The UK’s transport and logistics industry has an image of a predominantly white, middle aged, male workforce. So these Awards will set-out to prove that this stereotype is not a true reflection of the industry’s workers and that there are plenty of exceptional women working within the transport and logistics sector.
Why enter the everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards?
By highlighting the industry’s inspirational women and celebrating their successes and achievements, the everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards aim to highlight the contributions that women are making to their field and to encourage more women to pursue a career in the sector. Being selected as a finalist, or in fact winning an Award, will attract attention and support from the business world, government, industry and the press. It will recognise the nominee as an inspirational ‘role model’ who will inspire more women to consider a career in the transport and logistics industry.
