As a mentor or coach you know all too well that mentoring and coaching require a substantial time commitment on the part of the mentee, as well as physical access to meetings on a regular basis. This can be difficult for women who are trying to start or grow a business while juggling family life or a job, or for those living in remote areas.
For this reason everywoman is now offering mentoring and coaching online, taking advantage of the increased availability of electronic communications. The electronic medium allows for 'asynchronous' exchanges (both parties can respond to each other's messages at their leisure, when it suits them) while the Internet allows for time-independent access from any location. This makes online mentoring an ideal option for many female business owners.
There are many rewards to be gained from volunteering your skills and expertise in everywoman's online mentoring, coaching and specialist advice service:
- Contribute to the success of female business owners
- Help the growth of the UK economy by helping to narrow the gap between male and female entrepreneurship
- Gain community recognition and respect as a mentor
- Grow professionally and personally
- Participate in lifelong learning
- Gain a professional qualification
- Make new business contacts
Payment Opportunities
Our team of mentors provide their time to our members on this programme voluntarily, however we are able to pay a small fee to those mentors supporting the programme with mentees who are owners or managers of small businesses with five or more employees, thanks to funding from Train to Gain. Please contact our Training Director Toni Eastwood or Training Manager June Austin on 0870 746 1800, or email: training@everywoman.com for more information.
An everywoman Coach Shares Her Experience
Business coach Veronica Cooper talks about the benefits of everywoman’s online business mentoring and coaching programme and explains why she decided to volunteer her services. Read more...
Please Note
As the service operates exclusively online you will not be required to coach in real time, so there is no need to block out chunks of time for clients as you would in a conventional mentoring or coaching situation. There is also very little paperwork involved. However, you will be required to respond to any client messages within two working days.
